Didn't you know? If a person decides to run in a different direction from the ball, towards someone who is one the ground, and not pick their feet up to step over said grounded player, but instead bumbling over them in some totally unsportsman-like behaviour, that's a perfectly legitimate foul.

Plus you've got to factor in that before each match the groundsmen actually greases the penatly area and dig divots all over it to ensure that any attacker trying to stand up after a tackle can't help but fall over.

But a foul against the bumbler and not the lying on the ground player. Otherwise, a player who stumbles would be charged by the nearest Italian opposition player in order to obtain a foul.

Have any of you seen the videos of the Italians practicing falling down and grabbing at thier legs?

They all do it in a synchronized group exercise.
