Oh, stuff it! Italy and Portugal are a bunch of actors and you know it. Me, personally, I kinda like players like Rooney (although he did step over the line the other day). Strong, rough and fighting. Not falling on every slight touch, rolling on the ground playing injured even though replay shows nothing really happened.
I can only hope that France makes the last two games now or I'll be truly depressed over here for at least 15 full minutes. π
Italy wins 2 -nil great i was wrong about football but now have come to love the game i only hope more Americans will take time to watch football its really exciting however i love American football too. But i am a new football(soccer here in the states) and i love it i just never took the time to get into it until now and i understand why its the number 1 sport in the world.Country patriotism and the joy of the players makes the cup special and i enjoy it The rest of the world is on to something good and i hope my country will catch on.

Originally posted by richfeetPatriotism? I know no such thing. It's all about the game. Who deserves the win and who does not. Italy did well, but their record in my book is not nearly as good as that of Germany. (Although Germany aren't exactly my personal favourites either. That was Argentina this year. π)

Now that all the teams I've cheered on has lost I will cheer on... Portugal. π

You'd better stick to shooting cats tied to a tree as you posted in an old thread, plonker.

I thought it was a very exciting match. How could you fall asleep?
Well done Italy, it's a shame there had to be a losing team. Both played their hearts out.

Germany should be happy with their team. They played their hearts out and got much further in the tournament than would be normally expected. They have a very good team, but let's face it, Italy is stronger.
I wouldn't want to meet them now... π
