I would buy you an ice cream, but you'd have to get the hug somewhere else. Shouldn't be a problem, though - Norwegians are much more into hugging than Germans, to my dismay. 😕
You can't mean you don't like a friendly hug every now and then.

Well, from friends that is.

Haven't you been paying attention? I'm fairly certain Nordlys doesn't want any hugs.

Actually, I'm not a big fan of hugs. What the hell is all this hugging people have to do, anyway? Like when I saw my old neighbor and his wife in the grocery store the other day. We weren't terribly close or anything when they lived here, unless you base it purely on proximity. But, as we were leaving the store, he reaches out to shake my hand, then she goes in for the hug. Not that it's a terrible thing, but I just don't see why I'm expected to hug so many people (that aren't strippers or porn stars or otherwise affiliated with the adult entertainment industry).

Well, almost. I enjoy hugging my parents because they know what to do and what not to do (at least most of the time). I can't remember any other enjoyable hugs, although I have tried.

Yes, a million. Don't challenge me. When's this damn heatwave gonna end? 😳
Record high temperatures yesterday 104 for the first time in 18 years in Portland! 108 ties the all-time high for Hillsboro!

Today will be slightly cooler with highs between 98 and 100. Everyone is invited over to our place. It's the wife's birthday party. We have beer on ice, sandwiches in the fridge and fireworks later on.

Come on over! 😀

Not Nessie celery. A gas oven produces a lot of water.

I don't think there is anything sexual in a friendly hug, but I rarely hug people I'm not that good a friend with (unless I'm drunk when of course everybody is my friend).

Nordlys doesn't like to hug, so who am I to say anything about that? I just never heard of anyone who doesn't like to give good friends a hug. I mean, not every day but when you meet after a long time or you're not going to see each other for a while. I also appreciate a friendly, supportive hug when I'm feeling down.

But that's me. I must remember that not everyone is like me. 😕

It's a sensory thing. I appreciate the thought behind the hug, but the actual experience is usually unpleasant.

That's why they are reconsidering the "Hugs not Drugs" campaign.😕
