Found this gem of a letter in the paper yesterday.

Sir – there is an obvious solution to any shortage of flu vaccine. As every wife knows, influenza – an infection that requires bed rest, tender loving care and copious amounts of fluid – is specific to men. Women only ever suffer from a cold and therefore do not require vaccination.
