Liked him in School of Rock, and in tearlier Tenacious D stuff (ie Wonderboy), but otherwise he's pretty annoying.

School of Rock was a cool kids' movie. Better and more original than Shrek VII or some penguin crap or whatever, I guess. He was even decent in King Kong, but generally, I find him extremely annoying and not funny.

jack black is a GENIUS!!!

he does have that dark 'for kids' side which can be a bit annoying though. the same diabolical demon which possesses robin williams.

I find him funny but I love that crazy, physical, eye-popping humor. He rips off Jim Carrey a bit in that way. I couldn't watch too much of him, though. I don't see his movies, really, but I liked School of Rock alot.

Let's just say that High Fidelity would have been pure crap without Black.
Other than that I can't say much about him. I do know that School of Rock
didn't exactly rock. 😕
