Hello all,
I went to the Jeopardy tryouts today and have learned a few important bits of new information.
1 ~ I am not nearly as smart as I would like to think I am!
2 ~ It is never a good idea to bring a two-year-old along with you when you know you're going to have to stand in line for more than ten minutes.
3 ~ There is obviously more random information in the universe than there is space to contain it and judging by the "pre" test that they give you, I need about two universes just to keep up.

P.S. Anyone else tried out for this?

Originally posted by Bobla45This is true. 🙂 Of course, if you pass the "pre" test, you have to come back for the real test the next day. If you then pass that, you have to come back for yet another test with the filming people. If you pass the final test, you are then put into a pool of names for a chance to be on the show during the next season.....a very long and involved process that gives one hope that "the mighty Ken" will be gone by the time you get there. 🙂

Originally posted by PhlabibitThat it is...I figured since I made it to MAP King last month I would give myself a break this one. 🙂
It is the 21st day of the month... and MAP leader has 7918 moves?
Has not moved in almost 5 hours?
Shame.

P.S. I may have to show them how it's done next month. 😛
I have loved jeopardy for years. I have friends that bring me people who are "know it alls" and we bet money on jeaopardy, whoever gets the first 10 right in first and second rounds, duel betting, wins. I'm sorry to say I may have lost once or twice. But I'm still scared to actually try out for a gameshow. I fear I'll get there and all the categories will be about geography and opera. I so scared I'll look like an ignoramus. I wanted to play rock and roll jeopardy so bad but never had the chance. I watched it when it aired and out of the 61 questions, I got 4 wrong. Noone would watch it with me after that. Of course the first episode had such easy questions, it was like watching children's jeopardy.
My dream is a remake of the old name that tune, but done with movies. I have a knack for naming movies after catching a brief glimpse of the screen. I'll visit friends walk in the door and in a split second tell them the name of the movie. If they ever make a "name that movie" I'll be getting rich. That is as long as it's not all those dancing and singing postww2 fluff that hollywood pumped out.
