JFK: The Smoking Gun
Short version; he was accidentally shot in the back of the head by the Secret Service agent holding a protective AR15 hidden in the floor of the following car. It’s standard procedure to hide assault weapons in case of an incident.
After LHO shot 1, the agent grabbed the hidden assault rifle, seconds later LHO shot 2 (the magic bullet) hits JFK and Connolly. The Agent is on his feet with the AR15 spots LHO and is preparing to turn and return fire to prevent further LHO shots. Standard Secret Service response. However the cars suddenly accelerate sharply and the standing agents fall back. The AR15 Agent inadvertently fires off one round which hits JFK.
The documentary is built on ballistics and geometric trajectories. I have to be honest, although tragic and somewhat farcical, it’s totally believable.
The Secret Service panic and go overboard on lockdown, spoiling the autopsy and threatening medics. The escalation upwards through the hierarchy backs them up and closes down the evidence channels… because who wants to go on global TV and admit that our Secret Service accidentally shot our own President in the panic of an assignation attempt.
It’s a good watch.

Thought so.
@divegeester saidAre you suggesting there is a coverup of an accidental shooting?

That seems silly to me since the reason for not releasing all of the JFK files is for national security reasons.
