Dave,

1. Finish high school.
2. Go to college.
3. Take a wide variety of classes.
4. Major in what you really like. I have found that most people change their majors at least once ( I went from accounting to chemistry).
5. Just remember, do what makes you happy. Not what makes others happy.

They say the key to life is finding something that you can enjoy and that you can make money at.

Definetly though David you have alot of time to figure out what you want to do...alot of good advice has been given in this thread.

Oh and for those who want to know I am the Inventory Control Manager for a major food manufacturer 😀

Mark is right. As soon as you have your A level results your GCSE's are next to worthless - they were there to get you to your A levels. One you (hopefully) get you degree your A levels will be rarely looked at either. Having said that, one reason I got the job in Belgium was because of an A at GCSE French (which meant nothing 10 years later!!).
But you were after advise.... eeerm.... Pick what you like doing - hopefully it'll lead to other things you will like doing. And don't concentrate just on studies. I only got a 2:2 at university (I blame illness, but that's probably just an excuse), but I am moving through the ranks in this company because I can think fast & because I'm good with people, things I learnt in life outside school. Don't not do something because it's a scarey prospect, because most things are the first time (including Cheryl Tyler, right Mark?); they are the things that are worth doing in life. Work hard, and make your boss think you work harder than you actually do.
That's it. Not sure any of it is any use. Oh - learn how to spell and where to use an apostrophe. You might be good already, but it's one of my faults and it get's more noticable to others the older you get...
