He's not sorry he apologized to the oil companies for the president's comments.
He's sorry the public has reacted so negatively to his apology.
In a perfect world, the people of Texas would remove this embarrassment from public office. In the real world, they'll probably re-elect him.

He emphatically underscored his belief that BP was in the wrong, but that no action (recompense) ought to be taken without due process. Apparently alone in his analysis, he thus far has been the one person bold enough to call a spade by its rightful name. Barry had been getting properly lambasted for his inexplicable inaction and then the best idea he could come up with was this?!
In our nation, we have prided ourselves on due process...
