It was a great car, the nearest real car to kit from knightrider. But he did get 15 Minutes of fame for designing a car with stupid doors.

He got a lot more than 15 minutes, thanks to the 'Back to the Future' movies

Did you see Monster Garage where they butchered two Deloreans to try to make one into a hovercraft? What a travesty ...

I wouldn't cry too much, they probably couldn't find the parts to make either of them a Delorean.

They MIGHT have drove them before the show, but how long could you drive either? They were probably just junk ones from some nut trying to restore one. The parts are not easy to come by. Both were 'drivable parts cars' perhaps, but neither was worth showing.

They built a toy out of them, and salvaged all vintage parts for sure. If this is not the case, I agree with you... but there is no way they would demo these cars if they were 'full worth' as a collectible.

These 2 cars did NOT add up to a full Delorean... or they would not have done what they did with the 2 cars. Even if they did... they can sell the parts off for more than either car is worth. Give it a try, you could sell most any vintage car on Ebay for more than it is worth if you took the time to do it part by part.

Not that I would say this often... but 'Where is Skeeter'? She blew my mind away with here car knowledge when we got talking about beautiful cars.

Only in the sense that I still can't believe the government fell for the lies he told them.
All his figures, promises of jobs, all were fiction.
The guy was a crook.
And when the coke deal came to light, well, it just proved what everyone in Britain (outside of government of course) knew all along.
