was the second gunman on the grassy knoll.

Whoever said this obviously doesn't know their history because the man on the grassy knoll was involved in the Kennedy assassination! Duh, that's just common sense!

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

Are you sure this song wasn't about drugs?

Though it appears so, it actually had nothing to do with drugs! Julian Lennon, John's first son with Cynthia drew a picture of a girl in his class named Lucy! The picture was of Lucy, the classmate, in the sky with diamonds, hence the song Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds! Now whether it was influenced by drugs I don't know but it wasn't about drugs!

rumour had it that the song was about LSD (hense the song title)but was covered up by a story.

While Lennon and the Beatles were often frank about their drug use, for decades they denied that "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" had anything to do with LSD. In a 2004 interview, Paul McCartney spoke openly about his Beatles-era drug use, revealing that songs such as "Day Tripper" and "Got To Get You Into My Life" were written directly about LSD and marijuana. When questioned about "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," he noted that Julian's painting had inspired the song, but that it was "pretty obvious" that the song was about an acid trip (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3769511.stm).

I knew I had heard McCartney say it was a drug song once, but I couldn't remember where. Too many drugs in my younger life. lol

I told you in the first place that Julian's artwork had to do with the song! McCartney never said it had to do with drugs! If you don't believe me, there is a website where it shows the actual painting though I can't remember where, I've actually seen it!

If he didn't say it, then what does this mean to you?

"'Day Tripper,' that's one about acid (LSD). 'Lucy in the Sky,' that's pretty obvious. There's others that make subtle hints about drugs, but, you know, it's easy to overestimate the influence of drugs on the Beatles' music."

I assume your talking about me Blueschord! ROFLMAO No worries! The Beatles are awesome, and notice that I did say earlier that I didn't know if it was influenced by drugs but that the song was not about drugs! It's very well possible that drugs influenced it but the song is not about drugs!
