Johnny Carson has passed away. I wonder if many here know who he was?

Letterman moved to another network, Leno took over the Tonight show

Yeah, I heard Carson wanted Letterman to get it but Leno did. Leno and Letterman were friends but I guess there was a big argument of who'll get the spot and I guess they kinda resent each other. I wish I would've gotten to see one of Carsons shows. He was funny 🙂.

See the HBO movie called "The Late Shift". It's pretty good. The only person probably not mourning Carson is Joan Rivers, if you know the history. Was Johnny a smoker?

Yup, Johnny smoked.

Johnny did like letterman, and had been writing jokes for the late show for a while now. I will miss him. He was one of the last of his generation, and he was actually funny, with a pleasant nature about him.

Oh man. This one sucks. He was one of my very favorite "old-timers" in the business. He'll be missed.

I think that was the "Ed Sullivan Show".

It was the ed sullivan show.

Johnny did introduce scores of other musicians and comics with a list too long to name.

I think george Carlin may have been one.
