It may only be interesting to bible studyers but anyone who wishes to contribute please do so. I ask this question?. Reading the new testerment at John 21 vers 20 - 24 Peter saw this man and said lord what about this man Jesus replyed if it is my will that he remain until i come what is that to you. The brethren thought this disiple would not die. Anyway as in Mathew 27 vers 5 & 6 and Acts 1 vers 16 - 20, a he hung himself and b he burst his bowls. Please check your own bible for your own mind. But two thoughts are in my mind a legend i heard of that the man who struck jesus would live to see the end and jesus own reply. Its good to read other thoughts.
I've never heard this story before.
It's a lot of nonsense in my eyes. Don't believe this fairy tale. A lot of money is being made with such stories. Same thing with those books that are now being recommended in some threads about the "conspiracy" theories about the Gospel, the Holy Grail, the Dead Sea Scrolls etc. The legends around Paul not being Paul, his being a Roman spy are also stories in the same category and very tasty to read. The only reason why these stories are told is that they sell so well. The believers are fed with stories they are willing to believe and the non believers are fed in the same way with stories they are happily willing to swallow.
Who cares about the truth if you can make a lot of money with an interesting exciting story ?

Stoker - Judas killed himself before Jesus was crucified. When he realized that he betrayed innocent blood he felt that the only way out was to kill himself. Little did he know that it was all part of God's plan of redemption for the world. Jesus came into the world not to condemn the world, but to save it. The disciple that is being referred to in John 21:20-24 is John.
Originally posted by mallys7I know what was to happen to judas as i put in the acts and mathew. But the statment what about this man and the reply does not seem to point to john as the brethren gathered thoght jesus ment this person would not die, but it states that is not what jesus said. But i like the reply as others seem to miss my point not you.
