Any celebration celebrating the English getting a good bitch-slappin' is a celebration worth celebrating!!!
I love my country. I am very patriotic. I dislike things mny country does, and I am proud that I have the right to publically disagree with my country's policies. I know that most other countries area slo great places, but there are some terrible places to live. Countries with no freedom, no rights, ruled by evil and hate and cruelty. I thank God that I was born in a good country, and I will always respect and defend my America. When my love and I are married, I may become a Welsh citizen, he may become a Texan, (I mean an American), but I will still love my country.

Yes I am sure it is a day where all Americans remember their debt to the power of the French navy.

There cannot be too many countries where the laws actually hand the advantages to their racial minorities, can there? (Or maybe there are a bunch, and I am showing my ignorance!) Sometimes I look at that fact about America in awe, thinking what unprecedented generosity. Other times I get the sneaking feeling that there is an unfairness to such things as a municipality awarding a contract to a minority-owned business even though it was not the low bidder, and find it hard to suppress the thought that such a thing is not really fair either, in its own way, although the thought behind it is grand.
