Why does the board pull back my move with a pink shade

I think that indicates an illegal move.

You have to sneak up on the board and surprise it.

Why does the sea pull back from the shore with a yellow roar?

Dammit if I know.

Tell you a story. My grandpa used to own this big ol' wooden chessset. It came with a board that stood so tall, that it afforded space for a little door in its side.
Everytime my grandpa or I did the castle under check, or the whatever no can do move, a little arm with a little hand attached to it popped out of the little door, shot out and over the board, and applied the appropriate corection. Then it retracted, momentarily. It reapperared from the door carrying a small, but surpisingly heavy hamer. It proceeded to use that hammer on the culprits' knuckles. Both players were reprimanded in this manner when the question of who checked who first came up.

So don't come whining about some lame pink shade to me, bro.
