Robomod deletes any post which contains a certain sequence of letters. It would be helpful if a list of banned sequences were listed so that we can avoid the frustration of having a 200-word post deleted because a sequence occurred accidentally.
Our human moderators look only at posts which have been alerted by other posters. They have their own set of guidelines, provided by Russ. They can discuss with other moderators and/or refer borderline cases to Russ, but most unsuitable posts are deleted by the guy on the front line.
Moderation standard on this site is better than average in my opinion. If a poster has a problem with it, it's very likely that other posters and readers of these forums have a problem with that poster.
Forum moderation may appear a little heavy handed right now, but this will settle down again in time once the dust has settled down on the debates forum clean up.
Just a few people create most of the work, and some temporary bans have been put in place where some people probably should just step away for a while for everyone's benefit, including their own.
Dude, we keep telling you -- you don't want to be called out as a racist, then don't be a racist. It's really very simple, but apparently way, way over your head.

For a change I don't think I am involved. I've stepped away for awhile in the past when I was involved in a heated exchange. Sometimes one has to step away for a while and cool off. Especially in the debate forum things can become very heated. I believe things are said in the heat of the moment sometimes.
