Yup. They left reflectors behind - if you've got a decent laser and telescope you can blind yourself with 'em. Or you could use a very powerful EDM and find out exactly how far away it is.

Because of course a human would need to drop a reflector on the moon... there's no way they could just send an unmanned ship to place them.

You can also spot a lunar buggy or two, several bits of old apollo lander gear and some other crap, but I suppose that could also have been dropped by 'remote'. Gotta wonder why they'd go to all that trouble rather than send a couple of geezers though, no?
