I just found out she released a new album "King of the Mountain" last year...Has anyone been brave enough to listen to it?
It was...hmmmn...okay.
Not amazing, but not bad.
If it appeared on one of her old albums I would consider it filler.
Originally posted by Bosse de NageI got Aerial (King of the mountain is the single, not the album name) for xmas and I really like it. It's a double disc box set consisting of two albums, 'Sea of Honey' and 'Sky of Honey'. I admit that most people that I consider to have good taste (hopscotch and Darvlay for example), will probably hate it, claiming it to be over-Amosic, but if you're the kind of person that enjoys music requiring thought, then I'd say give it a listen.

Originally posted by StarrmanI agree starrman if you can get over all the bird noises and the sounds of the country that overlay the music, it is great multi layered album. I reccommend it.

Originally posted by Bosse de NageIt's entirely different, obviously not only has there been nearly a decade (?) since her last album, so production has moved on, but the style of songs have changed. It's more mature, reflective and whilst instantly playful in places, there's a deeper melancholy to it. It actually reminds me of 'Withnail and I': when I first saw the film, I laughed my head off, after a few watches I came to realise how it wasn't a comedy at all, now I can't watch it without wanting to cry.

How does the Kate Bush album compare to the single (King of the Mountain)?
Originally posted by VargI'm not a singles kinda guy, I believe that to make an album which (as any decent artist should do) has been written as (to coin zappa) a project/object and then to extract a part of that and expect it to stand alone is counter productive. Having said that, I believe that KOTM is probably the most accessible and up-beat song on there, which is obviously why it was chosen as the first single. Since I never buy singles I would say, please, please, please, don't judge an album by a single, give the album a go.

Tell me about this 'withnail & I', recent? I gather you must have it
on DVD or wouldn't have watched it so much, but you got my
curiosity up. I never heard of it, but I am just a dumb american.
Is it in english or subtitles?
Kate Bush I know from Wuthering heights with that strange video
with whats his name, and Babushka, she was startlingly beautiful in
that video. Haven't followed her since.
