is that short for recreation or does it refer to that little johnny joke?

teacher asked the students to go out and spend some time in nature and see what kind of wildlife they could find.

the next day alot of them said they saw some foxes, and birds and bugs and stuff, and little johnny put up his hand and said he caught a bullfro at is horrible, and do not say @ass, say rectum"

to which johnny replied, "it sure did"
'Tis short for "recommended". Subscribers can recommend posts they find amusing/intelligent/agrees with their opinion...

Why kill the sadness? Depression can often heighten creativity. So utilize it into something constructive instead like writing/drawing/etc.

Actually thread purpose is more like question "How do you act WHEN you are sad". I wasn't implying that all of you are on edge of suicide. And I am glad that you are not. I love happy people ! They radiate good warm energy around them !
When I feel sad I make a conscious effort to act as though I am in a cheerful mood. Works every time!

Of course autosuggestion is very helpful. But sometimes negative circumstances and concrete negative events around you can be stronger than your natural stress / depression defense.

As for me, I feel much better than this morning 😀

you have to be careful about being too happy. kinda like that old phrase "more than happy", i'd be more than happy to do that for you. that sounds like a dangerous mental condition to me.

"we had to put chris in the loony bin, he was, well, more than happy"
Meaning is determined by usage. Definition comes into play. Happiness lives within a spectrum of tranquility to ecstatics. Giggles live across town.

Happines, sadness, fear, anger, love, hatred... Basic human emotions. As human beings, all of us experienced that emotions now and then. I doubt you could deny that. So can my assumption that all of us experienced unpleasant feeling of sadness once in a while be taken as a generalization ?
Yes, and an accurate one to which there are point in time exceptions.
