I have mentioned that limits would be introduced in the past, but so far they have not been implemented. This may change shortly.

A cap of about 250 posts will most likely be introduced.

What kind of problems do these long threads create anyway?

You need to burn them for days, before they go away. I don't know why they don't just sew them right in the first place. There's no place for loose threads

Of course there is a place for them, clearly people like posting in them. ๐Ÿ˜•

I think we're at crossed threads here. I was talking about loose threads that hang from your shirt.

My bad

C'mon. Who you kidding when you say that you're implementing new hardware? You're just deleting half the forum really aren't you!? ๐Ÿ˜›

Edit: A response from site feedback within a week would be just about acceptable. Any longer...

Russ, quick idea from the sidelines... 250 posts or 10 days, whichever

comes first. Eliminates stale data base baggage. Promotes lively and

fluid conversations. All posters' freedom to reinstate/continue popular

threads provides the fall soft option and RHP General Forum fail safe.

Most posts you could delete as soon as they are put up anyways, and it sure wouldn't be a loss to anyone ๐Ÿ˜‰ !!!

Good thought, Rusty. Maybe the RHP system could also delete any thread receiving zero posts

within the first 24 hours. Collectively ignoring the worthless ones would be the simple key. -gb ๐Ÿ™‚
