@Drewnogal saidMaybe - just maybe - to show a bit of class and decorum
Why oh why is our UK government allowing this visit to go ahead?
It feels like leading lambs to the slaughter.
Something that the golden blond in the USA will never have.
Three so-called attempts and - WHAT, GOOD GRACEIOUS, THEY MISSED
Care to read blondies comments afterwards - so very calm and did he know??????????
It is scary that the lunatic is in charge of the asylum
@Martin saidWhat is really scary is that the lunatic is tearing down the asylum and rebuilding it in his own image.

The security situation around the president is so unpredictable right now, King Charles would be well advised to invite Trump onto the royal yacht offshore where he has control of his own security.
@Drewnogal saidBecause the UK/NATO F up, and have weak militaries from abuse and liberal stupidity/policies. They are also broke from this poor leadership, immigration and need our money and protection.

I feel the UK Monarchy has been on pause since Her Majesty passed away, and Charles already seems to be passed his ‘use by’ date imo. But he’s not well, so …
William is as yet unproven, but I think he’ll step up well when the time comes; Kate is elegance and dignity personified.
Trump is like a bored child … easily pleased, and I’m sure the visit will go well despite terrorists, gunmen, wars and the smell of Andrew Mountbatten’s sweat lingering in the air like a fart in a lift.
I’m not quite a republican (small r) yet.
God Save The King.
God save us all for that matter.
Happy Monday.

You only think this because your Orange Savior thinks so, and has said so, despite the truth.
If he thought NATO was the greatest thing since sliced bread, you'd be singing their praises.
Since we are one of the wealthiest nations on earth, I think it is important, and it should be a priority, to support our allies no matter the cost (this includes Ukraine). You, on the other hand, would gladly hand over Europe to Putin, since he's Trump's best friend (now that Epstein is dead). The only civilizations that promote isolationism are those who aren't long for this world. Americans are lazy and they have no idea what laboring under an occupying government is like (although to be fair, that's what most Democrats feel like right now).
@diver saidWell-stated.

Charles, tbh, is like old news. Sort of the end of the past.
Kate is like Diana, the queen y'all should have right now.
I have high hopes for William, being Diana's eldest and all. The first of the 'new monarchy'. I think he's well-suited to be King.
I feel sorry for Harry, taking on all the hate for marrying an American. Spare, indeed.
And Andrew? 'Well, we don't talk about Andrew.' Yesterday's news at this point.
The next American president will certainly have a time patching up old relationships with the rest of the world.
Let's just hope we get another Obama (a statesman) and not another Trump (a megalomaniac).
Just one American's viewpoint (but I'm not alone in this).
@Great-Big-Stees saidThis used to be how we thought of countries who weren't our allies. The relationship we have with the UK (and Canada) should be rock solid and steadfast, not driven by the latest fads, and certainly not beholding to idiotic cults of personality.

None of the above.
Republicans (big R). It's sad, really, to have such a repressive regime leading them. Like the Hitler days, when failing to return "Heil, Hitler" could get you detained and questioned severely and beaten by the SS (or just get you killed outright), but at least we're not quite there yet, despite their trying to make their obsessive Big Man Love the norm.

@Suzianne saidYes Trump rallied the right very well but the guy is a bit on the spectrum I think. As an American ex colleague and die hard Republican once said to me… Trump is 10 on the what, but zero or the how (his opinion but a reasonable assessment for a Republican I suppose).

Wether it’s Red or Blue you/we need statesmen and women who can drive their agenda in a way which doesn’t incite violence.
As for Harry, I have to disagree. I used to like him when he was younger but he seems to have been emotionally, intellectually and morally captured by his wife and playing himself for a fool whilst burning though any Windsor credits he had.
I struggle to feel sorry for someone with his breadth and depth opportunities. Don’t wish him ill of course; he just get on my nerves.
Anyway nice to exchange and hope you are doing well Suzi. Did you ever get that motorcycle - if you don’t mind me asking?
@diver saidI got it after I took lessons and got my license, a few months after our... discussion... about it the first time. I got a 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400. I love that bike. It sits under a tarp for most of the summer, though. Riding a bike in the summer here just desiccates your body, especially the face, even with a helmet.
