@Drewnogal saidHe did and I was impressed with his charm and sense of freedom when he was speaking.
He did a great job. I did wonder how much of a say he’d had in taking that trip with Camilla?
This seemed in stark contrast to how wooden and contrived he is when speaking domestically and I have since been wondering if he is being constrained when here in the UK. Different speechwriters for sure.
@Drewnogal saidHe's the King. It's good to be King.

@diver saidSeemingly so. But my read is that Charles took our little boy president to school. The problem lies in our little boy president not even understanding what Charles was saying. In one ear and out the other. You can always tell, when Charles was basically rebuking Trump (not in so many words, so he had to read between the lines, not something MAGA is good at), Trump just applauded and said, "Great speech." He probably wasn't even listening.

Not too hard to believe that Charles might have a far different mien when speaking to his "subjects".
@Suzianne saidTalk about delusional.

Do you really think that king Charles came to America to tell Trump off? You're an idiot!
King Charles came to America to reaffirm the great relationship our two nations have, having slipped a tad recently,
King Charles has too much class to think like you do.

Watch his speech again.
Yeah, he's talking about Trump.
Did he come here just to take Trump to task? I doubt it. But he realizes Trump is nothing but a recalcitrant schoolboy who was mistakenly given too much power.
But even Charles knows what is going on over here. He can read polls too, you know. He knows America doesn't have any actual statesmen on your side any more. Just one megalomaniac and a few hundred hardcore wanna-bes looking for political favor. He knows our democracy has taken a few to the head recently, he knows we're trying and that it is, right now, an uphill battle to actually Make America Great Again. And, unlike you people, for us that is not just a slogan. Like most of the world, he can't wait for America to grow up again, and I bet he's wondering if he'll ever see it again in his lifetime.
