You know how motorcycle riders have this unwritten code to wave or in some form acknowledge one another when passing along the highways and byways? As long as I've been riding, this has always been prevalent in all parts of the country that I've traversed on a bike.
The other day, weather nearly perfect--- certainly for riding up and down Lake Road, which winds its way along the coast of Lake Erie--- and there are no small number of motorcyclists doing this same thing.
Each rider that goes by, I'm giving my time-honed left-hand flip, timed with a slight forward head motion. To a rider, absolutely nothing in return. Doesn't the kinship borne on the shared love for the open-wheel, air-in-your-face mean anything anymore?
[I should probably mention that since I haven't had time to get the bike road ready yet, I was in the family minivan at the time.]
