Do you like chess? That's a stupid question, really. I mean, you wouldn't be on this site, reading this post if you didn't. But do yo also like CCGs (collectible card games)? Mix the two together and you've got Knightmare Chess, the original game of chaos on the chessboard! Some Knightmare Chess cards affect a single move, while some change the entire game.
I haven't played it, but it looks like it might be interesting.

It is. Basically you have 150 card wich you divide in two piles. Each player takes a certain number of point worth of cards (each card has a value). Those thery pick will be their deck. During the game you have 5 cards in your hand. Each turn you are allowed to play a card. Some card have to be played before you move, some after, some replace your move. You keep 5 cards in hand by taking cards from your deck.
The idea is still to checkmate the enemy king, the last move being one WITHOUT a card.
If you want i can descibe some of the cards in the game. I will not describe more then 20 :p
Originally posted by TheMaster37I saw the four examples they had on the site, but if you want to describe some more, that would be fine. It might convince me to buy a set of cards. I assume you've played?

Yes, i would really like to play such a game online 🙂
I'll describe more cards when i get home (i have the game tehre, and have played it several times now).
One thing you'll have to agree on beforehand is "what is check"
With Knightmare CHess it's VERY important to get that straight. For instance, pieces may not move ocasionally. Can the King move across fields covered by such pieces?
I'd say check is that your king is attacked, by a piece that can capture your king the next move. I find it usefull to think of chess ending as soon as one of the kings is captured. That normal chess ends sooner is just because of lazyness.
