I downloaded some stuff and tried to install it but they didn't work, just some games, so I deleted them. Some other stuff got installed also which I tried to get rid of but I don't think I got all of it.

When I turn on the computer its fine, but the monitor turns off for 3 seconds then back on then off then on then off then on and then its fine for the rest of the time. The system resources is also lower, its at 71% but usually its at 78-81% Any ideas?

I kept getting a picture of Avril Lavirn when I started my computer but that went away. Maybe a virus?

any good free worm killers out there?

I was running Xoftspy for 20 minutes and it found a whole bunch but it turns out that to remove the stuff you gotta register and pay for it! How great is that!

I think Xsoftspy is actually a spyware prog in disguise, you should
check out 'spywarewarrier.com'. That is a good site, it lists bad
anti ware. There are some real scumbags out there who make a
good living on people like you who don't go out protected.
Like making love without a condom.
You can tell a good one just by getting a fully functional download
like Trojan Hunter.
Another freebie is called CWshredder.
There is a class of scumware called Cool Web Search, where its
like a virus or worm but is very difficult to remove, most anti-suites
won't do it.
Google in CWshredder and download it and be sure to get the
latest update, its totally free.
Also Spybot Search and destroy, google it in, its also free and you
can update it also. Those last two actually do give you a bit of
a guilt trip, they ask for donations, thats all they live on. So if it
helps your machine, give them a few sheckles, eh.

It seem like when i type in worm killers, norton, some other stuff it keeps shutting the internet window. Like it knows what i'm planning to do or something. Redhotpawn is fine though but other windows keep turning off.

"Xoftspy" has done well in tests, whereas "Spybot" has come almost bottom.

that cwShedder thing keeps turning off just like everything else. I don't think it adware or anything. Its that worm thing, and when i try to read up on it after googling it, the browser keeps shutting off.

Try running what you have in Safe Mode. Your anti suites will work
better in that mode. Also don't forget to download Trojan hunter,
free for the first month, updatable, and fully functional for no
money at all for the first thirty days. Run it is Safe mode also.

Also found a site comparing some anti suites. Here is the link:
http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,118362,pg,4,00.asp
As you can see for yourself, it lists Xoft as
"removes most files but leaves many register keys behind.
Exaggerates the risk of tracking cookies"
If it leaves register keys behind, the next time you reboot, you have
the same problem you had before because it scouts out hidden files
like in system recovery that the registry points to and rebuilds the
scumware from there.
