Is this tournament for women?? Are there any ladies in this tournament?

What happens if someone like HomerJSimpson or BigNorm13 wins. Don't get me wrong I am not saying Big Norm is not a lady, at least he (I mean she) might be on the weekends on his/hers/its days off when he/she plays chess and dresses in suspenders and a bra. . .

It seems chess brings out the femine side in some players?

Some of us are that desperate for a tournament victory. Not me, I play for the fun of it, because chances are I won't even make it to the finals.

I'm a woman but not much chance of me getting through to the next round. I'm not doing very well in my games.

I really hope though that a lady does win.

Yes it was (is) just for women, the guy who sponsored it wanted to set it up so the females could have their own tournament and maybe get to know each a bit better, but a load of guys entered for a number of resaons. Some for a joke and pulled out before it started, some by error but most because they are dickheads and don't see why the females should have a tournament to themselves. Russ publicly asked the guys to pulls out, some did others just ignored him.

I am a woman and the highest rated player in the tourney (2000 ).
Homer, Norm, Jeff and the rest of the guys will have to beat me.
I usually rank in the top thirty women players in the US.

Congrats in advance. At this point I'm hoping the "men" that refused to drop out are forced to stay to suffer a very painful loss to you.

I'm playing in the lower ranked tournament, suspect it is outweighed by men, but am holding my own so far (it's early yet.)

But you still can't write your name in the snow as good as I can.

I'm guessing most women are fine with that. You can keep that one all to yourselves.
