What do you think? Who are they playing? I am more a baseball fan... but if I am going to get some Basketball news I prefer it comes form RHP! 😉

Kolby and Shaq? is that Lakers?? Let us know what is going on, since 10 percent of the people here have ever followed basketball, and about 1 percent of the people at this site even know where the lakers are from.

Keep us posted!

Did you know that playing basketball is a good way to relax your mind. It is also a good warm up before you play chess esp. during tournaments. Try it! Unless I guess your to old to shoot hoops.....😴

The evil Lakers, of course, are playing the mighty Detroit Pistons. Normally I couldn't care less about basketball, but I've actually been tempted to watch the last five minutes of a couple of the playoff games. Only those swanky socialites and movie stars root for the Lakers. The Pistons are the team for the common man.

Yeah, Dog! Detroit wins game 3 easy. I heard an interesting stat on radio yesterday.... My numbers are a bit off, but it went something like this...

30 odd series that went 1 and 1 in the first 2 games....
29 or so series were won by the team that won game 3.

So chances are, Detroit in 7.

Shweeet! Now all we need to do is get the Tigers back on track!

lakers in 6. kolby is going to sink them no matter what. to contain shaq, they need 2 to 3 men on him which leaves players like fischer and payton to get th easy shots. id like the pistons to win, but im realistic in saying lakers in 6.

PISTOOOOOONS all the way baby!

Difficult watching Bryant, a great player but probably deserves to be behind bars. Sick of Jack Nicholson every 5 mins. Hopefull at Auburn Hills he won't be the center of attention.

Billups is awesome.

NOt a big basketball fan either, but this series has me pacing up and down infront of the TV.

A lot more people have been watching this series for some reason. Maybe it's all the drama concerning Kobe's trial or the fact that the Lakers feature so many marquee players. I read yesterday that this series has attracted more viewers than any other since Jordan left the Bulls.

I'm a conspiracy theorist when it comes to basketball, though. I don't think Detroit will take the series in five, as they should, the way the Lakers look (they'd be down 3-0 if not for Kobe's miracle shot in game 2). Since this series is garnering so much attention, there's going to be a nght in the next two games (probably the next one) where a lot of the foul calls are going to go against Detroit. A six or seven game series means more revenue, more hype, more speculation, more everything.

I was like that with the Redwings. Fortunitely for me they lost in the 2nd round. It was a toss up between keeping my new job and watching Redwings games live. Oh and overtime lasts atleast 20 mins...

Well, I've always supported the Pistons, and Pistons - Lakers is a pretty good series. On top of that you have some pretty standout players, Shaq, Kobe, Ben and Rasheed Wallace, and the Phantom of the Opera, Ricky Hamilton. The kinda lineup that fictitious Playstation characters are made of.

Either way, great entertainment! 2-1 now.

Well they say the Pistons, highly regarded to win the L O'Brien troph....before the playoffs started has the notorious choking defense enough to make it all the way. The Lakers were pitted against the best team in the west that the thought that they would go all the way to finals was far lesser than the chance that they would beat pistons in their series. The Lakers became the finals favorite before they lost the first game. Now its game 4 and the Lakers on the road needs to pull themselves together and not think about next season and other so many stuff. Focus is the key and Payton playing his old self. Folks I believe Lakers in 7. 😵

Yeah I agree! Because of Kobe's miracle shot ala Jordan! But that basketball! That is what makes it exciting and fun to watch. I think The Lakers will need a tons of luck to beat the Pistons D. 🙂
