I am going there on Saturday, driving to Flagstaff on Sunday and then cruising back with some friends doing Grand Canyon etc, getting back to Vegas on Wednesday for 3 days of unadulturated pleasure.

Heard mixed reviews about the city itself. My Dad called it "a waste of a perfectly good desert"!
Grand Canyon I have never heard talked down however.
