Last minute new web server test

Image uploads are currently OFF on RHP (and the other domains) but ON on the new web server, currently accessible at :

http://newserver.redhotpawn.com/

We will be migrating everyone to this new machine over the weekend, but if possible, can people try using this domain for today. This should highlight any remaining problems before the full switch over, should they exist.

We have tested this update fairly heavily with the beta team earlier this year, so we are not expecting any issues, but more testing is always helpful just to be sure.

edit : Thanks pawnhandler for spotting a glaring problem right away (a configuration problen on the server.) I hid the previous thread.

Even if you do have a trouble free session on the new server, can you post back here please. Thanks.

Not sure if this is a problem or not, but hitting "reply" only gives me these options:

Insert smiley
Insert link to a game
Insert board from FEN

but not these:

Insert link to a thread
Insert link to a tournament
Insert link to a clan
Insert link to a clan challenge
Insert link to a clan league
Insert link to a user profile

Looks OK for me too.... even as a non-subscriber...well ex-subscriber.

Yeah, I have been using the new server all day. I tried doing a couple of things that are not typical and didn't run into any trouble.

I found that I have completely forgotten how to use this site without the ouroboros script. It's worse than when the site was temporarily shut down. I forget sometimes how much I have relied on the convenience.

Other than that, everything seems the same only faster.

i am on the new server, its great, faster, can i just continue in here or was it a trial period, also will there be a chessatwork option?

Everyone should by now be using it anyway, so I'll close this thread.
