Can anyone remember the last President of the United States that people actually wanted as President? Nowadays, a lot of people slag off both major party candidates and hope for a third (not without good reason, but remember that last alternative - Ross Perot?!?). When was the last time people generally agreed that at least one candidate was worthy of office?

that's the beauty of a two-party system. one more than the soviets had.
the thing that bothers me the most, is that americans have traditionally been so adamant in insisting the CRAZY one of the two choises gets elected. it never seems to matter how well qualified the other one is, or how much sense he makes. the idiot always wins, even if he gets less votes.
don't screw this one up, pleeeease. it's too painfull to watch.

Edit: My mistake. Arizona went for Daddy Bush in '92 but woke up in '96 and went for Clinton.
