Did you know that 98% of credit card companies have a small print which you may not have read?
They have a pay by date, which you honour.
However, the small print says, " payment to be received by noon "!
i.e. the cut off is noon on your due payment day!
You may honour your payment by direct debit from your bank, or however you prefer. But if it isn't there by noon then you miss the cut-off payment time and you are charged accordingly!
I also found this, when looking up other things: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/james-randel/the-ten-sneakiest-credit_b_194017.html

That is good info...
I never let anything on a credit card wait till last minute to pay, I always pay it well in advance of due date.
Originally posted by Great Big SteesActually, I am the kind of person who pays it in full each month. 😛

Ok, if I happen to die I don't want them to get what ever was on it that month...LOL... Reason for not doing pre-authorized payment thingy.

I wouldn't have thought Frank Burns was anything but a gentleman.
Originally posted by mikelomI have never understood why anyone uses a credit card. If you don't have the money to buy something, you can't afford it...therefore you shouldn't buy it. If you really need to indulge in retail therapy, try charity shops. If you're gonna buy something pointless, it might as well be cheap. 😉

Think of the interest you're making on your bank account. Now this , of course only works if you pay it off when it's (the card) is due. But I know I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know right?
