Seriously-- I already know of at least one person who is thinking of
leaving the site, and a number of others who are simply going to stop
visiting and posting on the forums, because of all this in-fighting.
Let's see a show of hands-- how many of you are here to play chess?
That's what I thought. Let's keep that in mind, folks. Chris and Russ
put in a ridiculous amount of time and effort to run this site for OUR
enjoyment, they've already been forced to close the forums once,
threads are being deleted by the mods-- this is all getting just a little
out of hand. I try my best to stay out of it, and I am only successful
some of the time, but I finally feel that a non-partisan post is called
for. Let's keep RHP a CHESS site, and leave the flaming for
elsewhere. Unless we want to petition Russ and Chris to start a new
forum, "The Flaming Forum," which would NOT be moderated, but
would be a total free-for-all for anyone so inclined.

I agree. But I must say, the preponderance of suspicion and paranoia
is fertile fodder for wonderous humor!

"Fertile fodder"? I like the alliteration, but I'm not sure that it actually
MEANS anything. (Just trying to pick a fight... as if we need another
one?)

Alright you two...put up yer dukes! All of a sudden I feel like Frank
Burns in that episode of M*A*S*H where he enticed Klinger and Rizzo
into the ring, and they both knocked our Frank instead of each other.
I must say, though, the best part was Margaret's laugh!

P.S. fertile fodder flows freely on freaky Friday! Ooops...this is
Monday. Nevermind!

Well I don't like when threads are being modded by one person- it is
dictatoric.

If someone attacks a friend, I back him up- simple as that.

Sensible eyes; oh well confrontations is no exception in real life either.
Better take a stance than just let the nazis burn books I think.

This was a clean site if you remember, a while back, untill some
people started attacking xenophobe (of course it was a mutual
exchange). The problem is- either you allow confrontations, create a
special forum for it or you do not have a forum at all. Even in
chessrelated conflicts are born- differences, thank god for them.

Either do not care about the post (which can be hard since some
people ruin every thread with hints, see last thread f.e) or close your
eyes 🙂.

so any of you mods out there want a ruck, see you at the pier
(and for those who don't get the weak pun, reference Mod's v's
rockers, Brighton, England, 1970's(?))

But of course! See The Who's album Quadrophenia (or the rather
lame film version of same, which featured Sting when he still had
some punk cred).

I'm already clear with procedures but it is still dictatoric that one
person can steer the fate of one post since some objectivity only is
represented by the owners and nonreaders/posters.
