For example – Toad in the hole. Served with boiled potatoes, whatever vegetable you like and gravy. It takes about 20mins(at most) to prepare everything and about 45 mins to cook.

I don't know... only your partner knows if you are in trouble or not.

I suppose, if you're in an open relationship, some else's partner is OK right?

43b) Our gas plant (at Longford) had a fire and explosion and there was no gas hot water for two weeks. We invented a Longford shower, involving an electric urn, a big washbasin and a small towel, and survived nicely, thank you. The technique gets resuscitated regularly in times of water restrictions, works just as well as a shower and saves a heap on power cost.

The urn provided lots of hot water, to keep refilling the washbasin. The small towel was soaked in soapy hot water and then used as a washer all over the body. (Remember we had no hot water other than was provided by the urn.) After that the soapy hot water was drained and replaced with clean hot water and a fresh soapless small towel to do the rinsing part. It actually worked very well once we got the hang of it, you end up feeling as if you have had a real shower! During water restrictions two washbasins full of water use a lot less than a continuously running shower, particularly if you don't have that long run of cold water before the shower is warm enough.
