I turned 18 earlier this month, and it has hit me how fast life is going, and it only gets faster from here...

According to an age calculator I am 570 million seconds old but it feels like nothing already.

My childhood is officially over. It's a scary thought that the springtime of my life is past.

Life can be shorter than we expect. You will inevitably make mistakes, try to learn from them.

As someone who has almost died 3 times (once even bagged up) and
who has seen most of his loved ones die... I can tell you, you
could have died when you were 1, you can die 5 minutes from now,
or when you turn 120. Simply, you do not know. Henceforth, stop
mentally masturbating and enjoy.

Bite all the cookies, kiss all the lips, drink all the liquors, smoke all the
joints, study all the subjects, work all trades, visit all places, fall in love
with as many people as you can, break all hearts, get your heart broken
a million times, keep on walking, sleep a lot, remain awake partying for
a week, walk, ride, fight, jump, meditate, and when you feel like you
have nothing left and you're paralyzed... then check out in your own
terms. Life is... a blink.

Mistake #1

Getting involved with forums. They become addictive.

I agree with this completely, except about the joints... that stuff has a messed up effect on my gene pool #)

My family is crazy, to put it lightly.

I'm surprised the word masturbating wasn't banned. My name is actually Ashi-taka as one word but it wouldn't let me use that because of the middle.

I feel in a race against time to make each moment count. It's every pressurizing.

The debates forum is especially futile. I don't think I've ever seen anyone ever change someone else's mind.

All forums can be addictive.

I am trying to figure out a way to "get out".

When I was bored during my final exams in October-November I would sadly refresh the page sometimes to see the latest posts.

There are interesting people here, as well as in our real lives. We can have both.

Well, you get the point about the joints: just try as much stuff as you
can 🙂

And, hey, everybody's family is crazy in its own way. Right after I posted
I edited to add some opposites as well (like sleeping or meditating).
Because that's a part many miss, including myself; some of us just
speed up through life trying to bag memories and experiences and
skills like a mad racing car in a hurry. But there's also richness in just
being still, as long as you are purposefully being still --not because of
fear, for example.

Just... live, man. Knock all the doors. Go through those which open up.
