I think that creating these cubes from water, keeping them cool during transport and the transport itself cost to much energy. Energy that is mainly produced in non-sustainable/durable/green ways. This would rather escalate the problem then solve it.

The ice dodecahedron is a much more encouraging project. I'm also looking at how to liquify ice but that technology seems a long way off.
