Not sure if my friend's YouTube channel is still up. They took down his Facebook page
Mountain Mann Survival. The guy knows all the stuff.

I just checked, his YouTube looks gone, but his site is up again. Google Mountain Mann Survival, his name is Mike Mann.

Land taxes will always keep you on the grid.

You could do the nomadic gypsy thing but that is usually something you are born into.

A dream of mine as well. I need a 5 acre spread in the countryside preferably near a beach, a good solar setup, a rainwater system and satellite tv, some goats, chickens, ducks and a small pond with tilapia.

If you own land
One can build an incognito shelter in a vast forrest and pray no one finds it
People do it all the time. One couple lived in a city park for 20 years before they were found out.

Very true.

I'd miss chess too much.

I heard some folks live “off the dole”. Is that the same?🤔

Possibly but it's because the liberal government keeps bringing people in who get hired for non skilled labour instead of giving those jobs to "the dole" people.

One guy at McDonald's couldn't understand my order because he didn't speak English.
Have you seen Walmart lately?

Companies think they have to hire them but Companies owned by immigrants hire their own kind.
"The Dole" will absorb more and more Canadians.

I have yet to see a homeless immigrant.

So if the liberal party likes the way it is then they better get used to paying out welfare to Canadians 😉

Of course it depends on if you live in a big city or not 🤔
Small towns don't really attract immigrants.

The city next to mine is about 100,000 pop. Tons of immigrants, Myanmar, Micronesia, Libya, South America, from all over the globe. A headquarters for immigrant aid is there. To boot, we are in a "sanctuary county," meaning ICE etc. can't touch them on account of their citizenship status. My last employer I dare say had more undocumented employees than documented.
I have to add, my former coworkers were honest, hardworking and in general good people. In fact my best friend is undocumented. My immigrant neighbors are good people.
