Kind of fun, although it's quite basic stuff. Judging from the discussions in Debates and Spirituality, I would guess that some people might have problems with some of these...

Edit: Oops, posted in the wrong forum... I hope some mod has mercy and moves it to General.

(Oh, now I see what happened, I had two TFC tabs open. Stupid me. 😳)

I got the last question right through second-guessing what they wanted me to answer, but I kind of disagree with it.

I kind of agree with you. For me, it's a question about how you define "predict", and I would usually use the word differently than the people who wrote the test apparently do (but like you, I correctly second-guessed what they wanted to hear). Also, if a) is true, then it wouldn't be water if an analysis would reveal a different composition; so they should either change a) ar say "every future examination of what seems to be water".

Took a logic course many years ago in college, got 100% on this test was simple, the logic of syllogisms is easy if you know how to reason them out. Unfortunately you see people muddle up data and form the wrong conclusion all the time. Especially on this site.

omg only 14 correct:/ (93 percent)

I see now, the last question 15 is indeed stupid.

"a) Water is a molecule composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.
b) Every observation or examination by microscope has confirmed this.

Conclusion
Therefore we can predict that every future examination of water will reveal the same chemical composition."

i also think they should give more information on the type of microscope they use, since regular microscopes cant really see atomsπŸ˜›

besides, "predict"? you can always predict things? you dont need any data or facts to predict things? I cna predict its going to rain tomorrow, although i dont know crap about it, it would be more like a guess, but could be called a prediction, or am i lost?

How can it be simple logic if the answer was WRONG!~

I think everyone who's done the test up until now found it easy. It's just I
whom failed to consider the possible fragmentation of the other 980
men/women. πŸ˜•
