Bump.

Best to keep this in site for the coming couple of weeks... so that everyone knows we're meeting up and having an orgy.

I'd appreciate it if some of the members at the meet asked Russ what he's planning to do about the cheating and game mod scandals and allegations.

I think it'd be a much more plesant day if we leave politics out of it. This is a social meet up over a few pints, not a meeting of the high council. 😉

I could put my skills in diplomacy into action. 😉

Only joking. I agree that the politics should remain away from the meet.

The high council retains anonymity by being in clear view. I can talk openly about it but people will assume that such a truth is just too outrageous and thus disregard the truth themselves without prompting. Such is the power of the high council!! SHALAK!!

If I come down who is going to play chess with me? How do you organise it...? And who wants to get humiliated with me blindfolded? Yes, that's right...blindfolded.

I haven't been feeling very well lately (man flu), so I haven't cared to ask, but if I get some details about the chess aspect of it, I'd be able to pass it off as some informal chess tournament thing and it should be fine.

Chess is generally secondary to beer and cheer. I'll take you up on blind chess (blind drunk that is...)

This would have to come up when I can't get online. Looks like I'm back for a while (so can catch up on games). My ISP aren't being very helpful.

Anyway, looks to be a decent choice of date, one I should be able to make.

However, I'm tempted not to drink and drive in, catching some football along the way (I've not missed a Saturday since the opening da ...[text shortened]... are there new rules now?

Was it rhb who drove in last time? Advice from anyone please.
Street parking in Westminster is free on Weekends and evenings (in zone C at least- not 100% sure nearer the center), and the Congestion charge stops 6:30 Friday evening.

I hope to be there, but will have to see nearer the time 🙂

I did drive, and parked around the St Johns Wood road area - which is a short walk from the pub (as shown on Link). Just pay attention to the signs they'll tell you all you need to know about parking. Any closer than this and it's all residents only (or you could get bum-shagged by NCP for the privilege).
