Okay, so I'm playing someone who is 800+ points higher than me in a seige game. I know I'm going to lose. I laid back and accepted it. But what the hell? Instead of just finishing the game. He plays with me, doing his fancy crap. He could have ended the game several times but what the hell? Seriously, that's all I can say. Please take a look for yourself.

Oh really. Thanks for the info, I'm only playing the game. But there were so many chances for him just to stomp me or end the game. Case in point, on move 35, all he had to do was move his queen up beside my king, mate. What the hell?
He's slapping you around.

The point is, it is not advisable to post about games in progress due to the fact that someone may inadvertantly [or otherwise] give advice, which is sort of not allowed.
Originally posted by Dr StrangeloveI was not aware of that, thank you. But the game is over, unless I can blow me king up... But the point is, why drag it on? I have one move and the game is over (I already told him that he would win via timeout). I just don't see why he would do that.

(Note: This is not a comment about a specific game - I haven't even looked at the game. It's a comment about what you can do if your opponent is playing around with you and you don't want to play along.)

exactly! Why not just resign?
I remember I was playing someone and the position was totally lost for them, but it was going to be a long boring process to get mate, but they didn't resign, I'd never say to someone that they should so I thought with my 5 remaining pawns and 1 Queen on the board already I would get 6 Queens just for the sake of it. But ...[text shortened]... ponent can do what they want. If you're not happy with what they are doing then just resign.
