Apparently, back in the day, Lysol was originally marketed as a feminine hygiene product and indirectly as a method of birth control. I don't know what bothers me more, the fact that Lysol was used in such a fashion or that, at some point, some marketing putz had to write a Lysol ad making the transition for a miracle cure douche to the floor cleaner we know and love today.
While I often think that most people are small minded, bigoted and borderline functionally retarded, we've come a long way since the 1940's attitude towards women.
All hail Hecate.

French is such a beautiful language. I'm going to be all posh and use it from now on. Can I pronounce it douché with a bit of flair at the end? Eg: Hello bellboy, I'm need to douché, may I please have a fresh towel?
Originally posted by Hand of HecateI would think that the transition was pretty easy . Most women if given a few lysol duches , would soon develope a persistant vaginal leakage problem , which would display the product's floor cleaning qualities quite quickly .
