It is quite far north for me (Well, about 200 miles). 😉

You call 200 miles north "quite far north"? What do you call Bodø, which I'd estimate to be around 900 or 1000 miles north of Manchester, then?

If you had a Scandinavian meet up then you would still probably have to travel 500, 600 miles to keep everyone happy.

Usually such things end up taking place somewhere in the south, which means most people would have to travel much less than 500 miles, and I would have to travel more than 600 (or at the moment it would simply mean I couldn't go). 🙁

You could always have a Bodo meet up? 🙂

It is relative.

To anyone in London, anywhere above Birmingham is "quite far north". 900 or 1000 miles is incomprehensible. You live in the middle of nowhere. 😉

By coincidence, I have to be in Sheffield on the 1st of December. Isn't that somewhere near Manchester?
