is it really? so the plant from which mate springs is the coco plant? i guess i could look this up on my own... googlygooogly. and yes, it is defintely an appetite suppresant. i didn't eat breakfast this morning and i've had two cups of mate and i'm not the least bit hungry. _and_ i was up til about 3am, had to be at work 4 hours later, groggy and slow- but no!... thanks to mate.

oh yeah.

What is the hype based on? Supposedly it destroys free radicals or something. Any interesting (African?) advertising images?
Hot days shouldn't exist. But I won't make them even worse by drinking rooibos tea.

Maybe "hype" is an exaggeration, but the only tea and coffee shop in town has been praising it as "miracle tea" for weeks now, you see it a lot in health food stores, and I think I have seen more than one article about it in magazines or brochures. There's also a book about it, I think. It seems to contain a lot of healthy stuff and is probably good for your stomach, immune system, concentration, skin, mood, hair growth, sex, and chess skills. I can't remember any advertising images.
