mathematics is well ahead of science, that only later manages to confirm the previsions.

it's through maths that we get closer to understand God's creation.

and God is eagerly waiting for us, like a father looking at a kid.

And reason preceeds both to show us there is no god.

Would you care to define science? Surely maths, like any other branch of science is just a way of studying the universe?

As a mathematician in training, I agree that the original poster is being a little bit unclear, and possibly even ridiculous.

But this is blasphemy!

Are you claiming mathematics lies outside the boundaries of science? I must disagree.

If what you are saying is that maths is the highest form of science and in fact the core nucleus of all the other sciences (albeit wrapped in the downy amnion of philosophy), then I heartily agree.

God and maths go together like pi and straight lines.

mmmm... pie... yumm

I'm saying that the methodology and nature of the conclusions of mathematics are fundamentally different from the methodology and nature of conclusions of every other science. I don't know how meaningful it is to call any one science 'highest' or 'closest to god' or anything, and I'm not qualified to do so in any case, I'm just saying that physics, chemistry, biology, etc. have much more in common with each other than any of them does with maths (even physics).

'downy amnion of philosophy' is a beautiful phrase. Use it in a rap over at FW 😀!

Science uses the scientific process to explain and predict observed phenomena. I don't think mathematics qualifies as a science because of this.

AH AH AH

go to physics. to the huge and to the tiny

maths predicts first and science confirms later.

"predicts" its the wrong word. i should say "shows the evidence"

these happens in no other science
you dont see biology predicting the existence of a liver, or an arm.
and so on with other sciences
