If a martini was a cuppa tea, James Bond would lose all credibility.

Unlike Bond, I prefer my martini's stirred not shaken and dry thank you.

Am always confused how one can drink a dry martini. Surely it needs to be wet?

"Dry" refers to the amount of vermouth in the martini. Dry means very little to no vermouth.

There was an episode of M*A*S*H where Hawkeye was trying to describe to a bartender how dry he wanted his martini.

"I'd like a dry martini, Mr. Quoc, a very dry martini. A very dry, arid, barren, desiccated, veritable dustbowl of a martini. I want a martini that could be declared a disaster area. Mix me just such a martini." -- Hawkeye Pierce, from the episode "There Is Nothing Like a Nurse"

I like my martini to be as dry as a nuns snatch.

These memories only remind me how happy I was and how miserable
I am now.

I can see you weren't aware. I apologize if I lashed at you, bro.
