The Terms of Service.
Can we all agree it's simply a mechanism for the moderators and administrators to impose their will as they please? And who could blame them? It's ridiculous to expect "them" to enforce the terms to an extreme degree of consistency and stringency. This forum would be barren if that were the case.
D'accord?
The terms of service are a means to allow the moderators and the site owners to legally remove people from the site. They could, if they wanted to, slim it down to two lines:
You acknowledge that your account at Red Hot Pawn may be deleted without refund at any time for any reason we so desire.
Accept Decline
By writing up all the rules like it is currently it gives the appearence of fairness to a newbie. Those of us that have been here for longer would generally trust the mods and admin to do "the right thing".
