I was born in 1976. You do the math.
Simple arithmetic will not satisfy my skepticism.

Tell me the shows/cartoons you watched as a child and the music you liked.

Tell me what life was like coming of age in the early 90s.

Recite for me the entire script of Back of the Future.

Okay, I know how this goes. No matter what I say it won't be good enough for you.

As a kid, I watched a lot of PeeWee's Playhouse, CareBears, My Little Pony, ThunderCats, Fraggle Rock, Muppet Babies, Zoobilee Zoo, Facts of Life, Punky Brewster, my favorite Sesame Street character was Elmo, Growing Pains, Inspector Gadget, Family Ties, I could go on. I watched a lot of MacGyver because I was in love with Richard Dean Anderson, lol.

I don't remember a lot of music at the time. I know my parents were Johnny Cash fans. I do remember listening to Madonna, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Aerosmith, Phil Collins, Bon Jovi, Guns n' Roses, Cyndi Lauper, Bryan Adams, Def Leppard. I liked rock, I wasn't too into the bubble-gum pop of the time. I don't know how many times my mom told me to "turn that crap off, it'll rot your brain!" Lol...

I remember when the Space Shuttle Challenger blew up, I was 9, I watched the launch at school and they sent all the kids home. It was pretty scary.

I'd rather not talk about 'coming of age' in the early '90s, as I had something happen to me that I've been trying to live with ever since. I basically lost two years of my life (the last two years of high school), and I had to grow up fast. Send me a PM and I'll tell you, but not in the General Forum.

Back to the Future came out when I was eight, and I didn't see it until years later.

I can vouch for her accuracy.

as a fellow 1976'er i can also vouch for your list. although mine would have a bit less 'carebears' and 'my little pony' and a bit more 'star-wars' and 'he-man'. i also lost a few years in the 90's for example, i know i went to art college at some point but its lost in some sort of booze and weed induced memory black hole. i dont even have any paintings left to prove it, maybe it was a dream.

My God Suzi, the only thing you haven't told us is
what colour your underwear is.

I was born March 1961. Was into all the great rock bands of the 70's.

I got really annoyed when Deep Purple broke up because then I had to buy
2 albums. Richie Blackmore formed Rainbow and the rest of the band formed
Whitesnake. In the late 70's early 80's I changed my allegiance to AC/DC.

I remember the fall of the Berlin wall. I remember Boris Yeltsin standing on a tank.

I remember the moonwalk ( 1969 not the Michael Jackson one )

I remember band aid and live aid.

I remember Phil Collins flying to America to play drums for Led Zeppelin
and Robert Plant said later that Collins was crap.

I like Deep Purple, I like Rainbow, I like AC/DC, not so much Whitesnake because, well, they're kinda like Def Leppard, they came and went.

I remember the Wall coming down and I remember Yeltsin on the tank too.

More familiar with Michael Jackson than the Apollo missions.

I remember Farm Aid, does that count?
