As a german I want to tell my story about the wall coming down: I was studying chemistry at the time. And that meant we were to the labs beginning 8 and went from them 18.00 take the commute and you were not able to think about much besides. One day a colleague came later and told us: I have been interviewed by the radio. AWe asked: What did they want. She: "What do you say about the fact that the wall was opnened?" We all: WHAT???

More familiar with Michael Jackson than the Apollo missions.

I remember Farm Aid, does that count?
    Farm Aid?

Doesn't ring a bell with me.

They say Armstrong walked on the moon in April 69.
A lot of other people say it was faked I don't know.
    I was 8 in 1969.

Deep Purple were never the same after Blackmore left.

That's real crazy music he's playing now.

It's like something out of the 16th century.

Farm Aid is still an annual tradition. They've done 27 shows now.

Well if that's the case it was never more important than it is today.

I still don't understand how in this modern age we still have people starving.

I got my love of playing music and playing different instruments from Whazzat Kangaroo on Zoobilee Zoo.

I saw all the Star Wars movies later but I do remember seeing the animated Star Wars cartoons on TV. I thought He-Man was kinda stupid at the time, lol. I didn't mind ThunderCats though, because, well, they were cats, hehe.

I thought the original Star Wars movies were brilliant.
Far better than the later ones.

I remember watching it on TV and being fascinated how all the Germans were freaking out and crying and hugging each other. I thought it was very cool.

Farm Aid doesn't have to do with starvation. You're thinking Live Aid. Farm Aid is about helping American farmers cope with mortgage debt (I think).

That surprises me on 2 counts.

    1. I thought America is the land of opportunity and

    2. I thought that if you had land you would be better off than most.

Over here in Ireland, there always has been an urban rural divide.
City folk like me were just blue collar Joes trying to scrape a living
whereas Irish farmers, most of them anyway would be regarded
the same as landed gentry. Farmers in Ireland are not seen as
poor. As well as owning land they get subsidies from Europe.

If you are going to quote me please quote me in full
and not in part or out of context.

It would also serve you well to realize that America is not
the Capital of Planet Earth or the Universe either.

On a side issue, I am a fan of John Cougar Mellencamp.
