EDIT - You missed the pirate raiders in Ragusa. Technically it no longer belongs to me for the moment.
Gee, it looks like two armies of 554 CS apiece moved from Warsaw right to the Golden Horde borders in Krakow and Ruthenia. I wonder what they're doing there with unprotected GH provinces right in front of them? What did your Bavarian friend discuss for a half hour on MSN Messenger with the new Polish guy? You did give the Poles access through your territory too, didn't ya? Oh well, if the Horde has to suffer so that the Poles will help you gals take Venice I guess that's a small price to pay, for you and the Bavarian anyway.

I anticipated you'd build a bunch of Medium Galleys this turn after you rebuilt it; you guys are pretty predictable. We're ready for ya; load up your troops on those pieces of junk; mine and Phil's boys feel like taking a stroll into Buda.

Looks like your new Polish ally is about to stab your old Golden Horde ally in the back; wonder how the Great Khan is going to take that news.
We're predictable? Bavaria predicted you'd get thrashed before the game even started. Looks like you're the predictable one; predictably weak.

The Bavarian got another one of his armies smashed in Rhaetia by mine and Phil's forces and you let us land in two of your provinces right under your nose. Yup, we're sure "weak".

We own two provinces adjacent to your capital, and I control one of your home cities. Your accomplishments are insignificant in the long term as we can easily repel your assaults and replace the troops you've killed. One of the most talented of Venetians is working underneath me, helping me crush you. You are weak.

EDIT - And I, a land power, am challenging you at sea and will eventually win there too, even if I don't take the Adriatic immediately.

This week's Power Ratings:

1. Saxony 1
2. Hungary 4
3. Golden Horde 2
4. Sicily 5
5. Bavaria 3
6. Aragon 8
7. Roum 9
8. Morocco 11
9. France 7
10. Poland 10
11. Venice 6
12. Mamulukes 14
13. Castile 12
14. Norway 13
15. Acquitaine 17
16. Byzantine 16
17. Teutons 20
18. Denmark 18
19. Hafsids 21
20. England 19
21. Lithuania 15
22. Novgorod 22
23. Arles 23

Neither of the Bots moved; Aragon took one of the FrenchBot's provinces - it will be interesting to see if it tries to take it back with its massive forces (BDN is betting "no"😉. The Hafsids didn't move and are down to one province. Lithuania paid the price for allowing another realm full passage rights; the Horde stuck it to 'em. Novogorod army's is smaller than province-less Arles. It looks like a few realms are very close to going out.

Sitting in a harbor ain't much of a challenge, Sport. Your ships are junk and will be promptly sunk if you have the courage to send them out, which I doubt you will. You were too afraid to even leave a unit in Frulia or to move your siege machines up to Istria, though you guys have, on paper, a large superiority. That is your failing; you are incompetent and cowardly. Heathers 1 and 2 look like they're about to go down hard in the West and your Polish ally is about to attack your Golden Horde ally. Roum which you were counting on, looks like they're going to have their hands full with the new Mamaluke player who built up big forces on Princess Dimwit's borders while she did her nails. In short, the worm has turned; if you want to surrender, me and Phil are willing to offer you terms.

I thought I was Heather #2?

My ships are small, not junk! They are small because Dalmatia's former patron, well known for her naval technology, was too paranoid and selfish to provide the Dalmatians a full sized harbor. I suppose your paranoia was well placed, as the Dalmatians surrendered to Magyar rule without even trying to resist. They practically begged us to come in and govern them properly. You really have a talent for eroding loyalty!

We never needed Roum, but we were and are happy to allow her as a staunch friend to enrich herself in Italy. I've had to argue with people who haven't even declared war on you and who I don't want involved what kind of spoils they could get in Italy if they attacked! People are begging for the chance to join in and take a share of the spoils.

By the way, it's Friuli. One would think that a nation with such naval technology would know something about geography, especially when it's in their own front yard! But I suppose it makes sense with your pathological fear of all things more than a mile from the ocean.

If you want to surrender, you can stick your surrender up your ***. We're dominant enough that I don't need to offer terms.

Whatever gains your pitiful alliance made due to your earlier treachery are no longer relevant. You lost two provinces and claimed one that I can send a troop of Venetian girl scouts in to retake as you and your ally will be too afraid to send any troops into it next turn, too. Meanwhile you don't have enough troops in your heartland to defend jack and if you divert so much as a squad of peasant rabble your plans to take Venice go down the crapper.

In the meantime your Bavarian mastermind is going to wake up tomorrow morning and realize his scheming and machinations have fallen utterly to pieces; his and his Saxon's buddy weakly defended Western provinces are ripe for the picking from an alliance he didn't even dream existed! And that 450 CS army he just got destroyed while inflicting the loss of 2 Light Infantry on the combined Italian forces might have come in handy. Instead, he's building Siege Machines in Ratisbon to take Venice! You bumblers are about to get the a**kicking you so richly deserve.

EDIT: You are too small potatoes to rate as a Heather #2; you barely make it as a Heather at all.

I've been demoted 😞

EDIT - And if I lose the game due to your newfound Spanish allies, I'll laugh my *** off. Castile too, eh? Didn't see them at first. It still isn't enough.

Does anyone know what Aquitaine tried to do? His proclamation suggests he tried something risky and dramatic.

It looks like France and Byzantium have reached the limits of their abilities to build more troops because of the upkeep.

He took Champagne - a nice, juicy 17 gold province.

That was Aragon. It does look like Aquitaine battered the English fleet again; I heard Freddie was expecting naval help. But you can't ever trust a Heather.

BTW, France built 10 Heavy Infantry in Paris.

*Thunder and lightning over Barcelona. Screaming from the Tower*

To those who feel betrayed--first, don't take it personally; this is only a game; second--you'll find there's more than one knife sticking in your back.

I'm happy to announce that Barcelona has contracted the services of Gaynor the Damned, knight errant of Chaos, and General of the Legion of the Damned.

Does anyone know the rules of croquet?

Whoops. wrong A. It looks like there was another big sea battle in the Channel with the bulk of the English fleet resting at the bottom of it and that Aquitaine captured a bergantina but lost a lot of troops.
