Ressing an old classic to ask for some advice!

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Now, anyone with anything USEFUL to add?!?!

C'mon you were right next to Aquitaine, both the original and then Gotts. Give me something good.

What do you want? You can see everything on the MD map. Aquitaine is all about knights, crossbows, the usual foot...

What do you think my chances are if I send all my forces southeast in turn 1? Think I can get the Aragonese throne that way? Or should I go toward Brittany and France?

Diplomacy of course will matter, but I haven't done that yet.

EDIT - Looks like Aragon only has one city, so that's where his money will be spent. Guess my chance for that cheapo is low.

England would be a useful ally, no doubt.

I'm hearing good things about that player. I'll contact him/her.

Stop filling my thread with all your jibberish. If you guys don't mess it up, someday this thread will be ranked up there with Sun tzu's Art of War, or Clausewitz's On War.
I wrote a guide for this game and posted it on the Yahoo! Group. I linked to this thread which is actually a fantastic read for new players (and myself for entertainment).

Sorry for resurrecting this, but this quote from rwingett made me laugh because I started rereading this because I saw the link in my own Noobs' Guide.

Weeks and weeks ago I thought I'd subject myself to another Age Of Conquest game. Didn't hear anything right off and wasn't surprised. Just got a robo-email from the gm stating my turn 1 orders are late. Thing is, I never got an email saying I was placed in a game!

Some ( f'ed up) things never change.

Yep. They fired the old GM because of incompetence and hired a new one. He's a little better but still imperfect. Being GM must be a lot of work. There are rumors AGE games may shut down.

Small wonder!

And for this I endured weeks of no1 calling me incompetent.

Idiot.
