I just had a weird thing happen.

Last night, a friend who i haven't seen online for ages, went online, then i got a spam like message from her msn....some advert type thing with a link. Recognising it for what it was,i just closed the message box.

I'm just after getting similar messages from every contact in my messenger list. I'm scanning my computer now for a virus, but i never opened anything...surely i should be clean?

I would think you would probably be alright but just in case report the link as a suspected virus, then go wash your hands. Send this link to all your bud. It's clean I swear. It can be your theme.

Wow.....why, when i read the text on the link you're trying to get me to go to, do i get the impression you're being far from helpful?

I'll pass on the stupid link, if you don't mind. Nice try.

I thought you could tiny it and put in your location. I actually thought you might enjoy it. I wasn't trying to hide it. Jeeze you're a turd.

It doesn't look like you have much of a problem to me. So lighten up.

Thanks buddy.

I just hope it wasn't one of those things that highjack your contact list. I never clicked any link, so i should be fine.

That's why you should always shoot the messenger, good news or bad.

You do time for shooting someone.

Bad advice as usual, stay on the roll though.

i can assure you that the message sent from my messenger was not only not virus free it was packing enough terrorists to take down the pentagon.

i copy and paste and send it back with the messge "You have MSN Aids"

typically the victim isn't aware that they have a virus as they are offline when the message is sent

the messages generally seem to have smilies in the actual message with a link to "cool stuff" etc
